Singapore House, Designed by Melinda
Priscilla Kohutek Home decorating consultant, columnist and author of a new book on design, features an interior designed by Melinda Alexander, owner of the House of Tuscany, Fort Worth, TX. She says in part: "Tucked away on two acres of lush tropical gardens in the middle of Singapore, this historic 1912 British Colonial bungalow is a shining example of the period. Melinda Alexander and husband Gary, a United States Diplomat, furnished their home in traditional colonial style with Asian antiques bought locally, much as the British expatiates would have done in their day."
"Melinda used generous amounts of Chinese red throughout the house in deference to its importance in the Chinese culture, insuring good luck, happiness, wealth, and fame. The Alexanders now reside in Ft. Worth, Texas. (Photos by Peter Mealin)"
